Wew! Bored at home and decided to try this. It tastes LEGIT! Omg. Tastes like chicha sanchen. I swear! Or nicer whahhaa.
For those who doesn’t understand Chinese, the steps are as follows:
-Stir fry the tea leaves and sugar in a non-stick pan
-wait for the sugar to melt and caramelise
-add water and wait for it to boil
-add fresh milk and stir until it has boiled
-leave it for a few minutes and strain it. VOILA~ homemade milk tea
You can adjust the sugar and tea leaves accordingly. You can drink it hot or cold. I like to shake it with a little bit of ice to get that “frothy” texture.
If you dun have loose tea leaves at home, you can use cut your tea bags.
