No choice of meal type: hello sir, sorry but we have ran out of chicken today. We’re left with the beef and I am very sorry. Seat A and B passengers both said sure, No problem. We will take the beef. Seat C will be unhappy and ask “no more chicken? Then I don’t want to eat.” So the complex leader will go to business class and take a meal for the passenger at seat c. Then seat A and B passenger will comment that is it because we are nice so we don’t have the privilege of having business class meal? And this will then escalate to another complain.
So to the not so smart complex leader, Why invite complaints?
“Whisky whisky”type: a certain group of pax will keep shouting “whisky whisky” at the crew. these are the type of pax that will answer with “on the table!” when you ask them if they’d like it neat or on the rocks. It is not wrong to order whisky but you will have to wait for it as there are other passengers too and we will be back to you as soon as possible. This group of people will ask for their drink to be served ice-cold, orange juice at room temperature, specify the number of ice cubes in their drink and so on. 10ml of whisky? Sorry we don’t have a measuring cup so chuchu will take the whole bottles and pour in front of passenger and ask them to stop me when it has reached “10 ml” and chuchu will of course apologise that she do not know how much is 10ml. 🙄
“I’ve ordered for vegetarian” type : We’ll get these particular type of pax on almost every flight, ESPECIALLY on a not so popular route. “I order vegetarian why never cater? I want to complain.” Please go ahead and complain because this is not our fault as there is no memo on our list. Threatening to complain doesn’t help with the situation. Why not let the crew know what u can eat and what you can’t. crew will help you to find a solution. They will gladly assist you and will try their best to accommodate to your request.
Sidetrack: Most of them had their air ticket booked by a third party. Example: travel agency. they might have made a request of having vegetarian meal but the travel agency might not have submitted their request for them.
